Kadayawan 2009

Kadayawan is coming to an end here in Davao.

Today, I went to DAVCON to see the bazaar. Well, only for about 20 minutes. Interesting items...

Unfortunately, I missed the Indak-Indak last Saturday. I went last Sunday to watch the Floral float parade but... I was so tired from the previous day's party that when I went to Claveria I only stayed for about 30 minutes then I went back home - it was really hot too. (Sorry, I don't go outside too often in the morning/afternoon to actually feel Davao heat so even now I'm so not use to it.)

And again, I volunteered for Philippine Eagle Foundation's Animal Encounter on Aug. 22 at DAVCON. I saw Bigfoot and Christian again! But there was no Tsok... :( There was a new Owl I met though. Harry was it? (They really know how to name their birds).

I went to Bolton with my mom and her friend last friday. I ate a lot of isaw again. I don't think I'll ever hate isaw... unless I get amoeba. Haha. (simbako!)

Anyway, there were more things I did in this year's Kadayawan (but yeah... i'm disappointed for missing Indak-indak... T_T) but most of them are socials so I don't think it's not worth mentioning in this blog entry. :)

Oh well! Party's over and now it's time to move on to... HELL WEEK. Yes, exams are up. And juggling exams & AIESEC work... is really hard but I'm doing my best to balance it. Unfortunately, I tend to prioritize AIESEC over school. LOL. I'm sorry, mom.

Midterms

I can't believe it's exam week again. Sigh.

Random Thoughts Again

. Am I really doing things that are best for me right now? seriously? o_O

. Hands down to people who can imagine how they'll be in two year from now.. because I can't see myself in two years. t_t

. It's been so long since I last had a cold but it's good to know that it's gone. Insta-recovery! Hail to the powers of our immune system! o____o

. My new habit of checking my pockets after leaving a taxi has saved me from losing my cellphone today. ^_^

. How more clumsy could I get? I just got three new bruises... x_x

. My left pinky toe is back to being normal after about two weeks of pain and agony (although it wasn't obvious, it annoyed me to no end) n_n

. I missed a lot of films. I really missed my movie marathon days. c_c

. I saw this university student holding hands with his mom and I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. m^_^m // not in an incestuous way. it was an old lady but when I saw him holding her hand while they walk was like him protecting her in some kind of way. Really cool. I wish I was like that to my mom. The only time I'd hold her hands is when we pray the Lord's Prayer. So uncool. -_-

. It was amazing how awake I was today even though I had like two hours of sleep... but then again I slept when I got back from school (after I watch about 20 minutes of watchmen and ate because I didn't eat any breakfast and lunch, that was around 6pm)... and that's why i'm so wide awake right now... @_@

Well, that gives me enough time to study mgt215 and finish my research paper. and probably try watching watchmen again. =/

Wow. My last post was last March 19, 2009. But I honestly thought that my posts in my multiply are being cross-posted here. Oh well.

I thought I'd get back to blogging. Maybe it will help filter all these nonsensical feelings inside of me. Wow. Nonsensical. Is that word? Let me check.. Ah, yes it is. Good. I thought I'd be more sure about the words I used in my blogs even if no one in particular is reading it... We'll never know, you know? For example, when my cousin, who's now living in Switzerland, checked (more like google I think) our family business online and my blog came, I was definitely suprised she read my blog. It was so embarrassing. I probably had a lot of wrong grammar. Hahaha.

Well, as much I'd like to give a full-blown update on what has happened to me for the whole 3 months of absence, I don't think there's much to tell. So I'll just leave everything as it is right now... :)

Moved

My two exams have been MOVED ...

How annoying... >_< Having to wake up so early in the morning... after two hours of sleep... after having a quick shower cuz I thought I was going to be late... the taxi cab I paid for... it's been moved to monday, they say...

As much as I'm glad that I'll be free for today, it's actually ruining everything I've planned for. Huhu... Life is cruel ~_~

Something New For Me... Kinda

Woot!

I just got myself a brand new watch! Well, my sister-in-law bought it actually. I was going to pay her but she said no. I bet she plans to ask a lot of favor soon. Haha. Oh, it's two watches actually. Just different colors. It's pretty simple. Made of rubber, I think. But I like it. I like simple stuffs.And it's pretty cheap!!! P50.00! Hahahaha! No matter, I just want to have a watch so that I won't have to rely on my cellphone for the time.

The last time I wore a watch was when I was still in grade school, I think! Hahaha. It's because I always lost them 'accidentally' after a few weeks or so. ~_~

Anyway, I just felt like sharing. It's been a while. Life has been... difficult lately. It always has been, hmm? @_@

Crocodile Kills 10-Year Old Girl

MANILA, Philippines - A 10-year-old girl was decapitated by a crocodile in a Philippine lake after the creature knocked over her canoe, police said Wednesday.

The girl and a classmate were on their way Saturday to their floating school on Agusan del Sur province's Mihaba Lake when the 23-foot- (7-meter-) long crocodile bumped the boat, causing it to capsize, said Bunawan town police officer Melchor Danuco.

Rescuers found the girl's headless body floating on the lake on Tuesday, he said.

The classmate was rescued by a man escorting the pair in another boat, said Roel Hipulan, head of the private group that runs the school in remote Bunawan town.

"It's a monster crocodile," Hipulan said, adding that he had seen the creature. He said salt water crocodiles, some bigger than a bus, are known to inhabit the lake, though attacks are rare.

But the lake's waters have been swollen for the past several months, causing fish to scatter to others parts. With little to feed on, the crocodiles have become aggressive, he said.

The crocodile attack has prompted the temporary closure of the school and the evacuation of about 100 residents of houses on stilts on the lake, Hipulan added.
